Staying Positive in Life

Life is hard. We all have good days and bad and it isn't always easy to stay positive. It can be difficult to focus on positive outcomes when it only seems like wishful thinking.

The average person has between 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day and you have the power to change your thoughts and change your own perspective. Each day we are given choices and we can choose to be happy or choose to be sad. As humans we face challenges everyday and we make choices in our life. Here are a 3 ways that help to maintain a positive perspective.

Slow Down

We live in a society where we are constantly go, go, go and we are always are onto the next thing. Therefore, we never stop and take time to live in the moment and appreciate where we currently are in life. It is so important to slow down and enjoy life. 

Ask yourself what you are grateful for

There are so many things that we can be grateful for in life sunshine, warm weather, clean water, food, shelter, education, etc. the list can go on and on. Take time each day to think about at least one thing you are grateful for in life and take time to appreciate the things that you are blessed with.

Surround yourself with positive people

The people that your surround yourself with can have an effect on your life. Choose to surround yourself with people that will encourage you to be the best you and are there to lift you up!

Today, make a commitment to slow down by taking atlas five minutes for yourself, make a list of things you are grateful for and surround yourself with people that will encourage you!

Popcorn Topping - Replace butter with coconut oil and drizzle over popcorn for a healthy snack.

Natural Skincare

Makeup Remover- rub a bit of coconut oil over your eyelids and wipe off with a warm cloth to remove eye makeup.

Moisturizer- replace your moisturizer with coconut oil. Did you know that coconut oil is known to reduce the signs of wrinkles, reduces cellulite, and reduces appearance of fine lines and stretch marks.

Shaving Cream- start using coconut oil as your shaving cream. Warm some coconut oil in your hands and apply to shaving area and then shave. Rinse and pat dry.

Personal Care

Natural Bug Repellent - In a bowl mix a tablespoon of coconut oil with a few drops of peppermint, rosemary, and tea tree oil to repel flies, mosquitos, gnats, and bees
