Staying Positive in Life

Life is hard. We all have good days and bad and it isn't always easy to stay positive. It can be difficult to focus on positive outcomes when it only seems like wishful thinking.

The average person has between 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day and you have the power to change your thoughts and change your own perspective. Each day we are given choices and we can choose to be happy or choose to be sad. As humans we face challenges everyday and we make choices in our life. Here are a 3 ways that help to maintain a positive perspective.

Slow Down

We live in a society where we are constantly go, go, go and we are always are onto the next thing. Therefore, we never stop and take time to live in the moment and appreciate where we currently are in life. It is so important to slow down and enjoy life. 

Ask yourself what you are grateful for

There are so many things that we can be grateful for in life sunshine, warm weather, clean water, food, shelter, education, etc. the list can go on and on. Take time each day to think about at least one thing you are grateful for in life and take time to appreciate the things that you are blessed with.

Surround yourself with positive people

The people that your surround yourself with can have an effect on your life. Choose to surround yourself with people that will encourage you to be the best you and are there to lift you up!

Today, make a commitment to slow down by taking atlas five minutes for yourself, make a list of things you are grateful for and surround yourself with people that will encourage you!
