Hi ladies! I’m so excited to be a guest blogger for The Frosting Company! My name is Sally Broker, I am the writer of the personal style blog, Pressing Flowers. As a full time college student, it’s hard to find time for myself between classes and working throughout the week. My favorite way to unwind is taking the time to pamper myself and really care for my skin. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite products to use in the bath!
When I first draw my bath I like to make sure I have everything set up so it’s all within arm’s reach. I start by exfoliating my skin with the J.R. Watkins Sugar and Shea Body Scrub. The scrub smells amazing and leaves my skin super soft when I’m done. Here’s a tip: be careful when applying a scrub so it’s not too abrasive on certain parts of your body. The skin on your chest and upper back tends to be more sensitive, just like the skin on your face and neck.
After exfoliating my skin I like to sit in the tub to soak for a few minutes. I love the bath fizzies here at The Frosting Company and this yellow bunny is perfect for spring! It smells just like a marshmallow peep. I love to let it fizz and in my hand because it leaves my skin feeling super smooth and luxurious. Once it’s completely dissolved I put on my facemask that has been sitting in the freezer for a few minutes. The cold sensation really helps to relieve the puffiness underneath my eyes that I usually experience at the end of the day. The mask also helps relieve headaches and tighten my skin. At this point I try and grab a magazine for some fun leisure reading (which is 10x more exciting than my usual accounting book or a chapter on microeconomics).
When I’m done with my bath I always make sure to moisturize my skin afterwards. I’ve been loving the Southern Peach Body Butter here at The Frosting Company. It definitely smells like peaches with a hint of something sweet, like white chocolate. When applying the body butter I make sure to let the product set before getting dressed. I like to put on my robe and finishing washing the rest of my face while I let the oils absorb into my skin. This is especially important as we transition from harsh, winter weather to spring temperatures. I love prepping to make sure my skin is smooth and supple when it’s time to break out those dresses and shorts.
I think it’s extremely important for everyone to have a few minutes to themselves each day. Whether it be doing your makeup or pampering yourself to a nice bath, you must take care of yourself first in order to take on the rest of the week. I loved sharing my favorite products with you all today and being the first guest blogger on the Frosting Company!
